Why you should Minify your content

We are increasingly accessing web content on mobile devices

These mobile devices are usually lower in RAM and memory than their desktop counterparts

So you as a website owner need to adapt to the new trend by optimizing your website content so it can load faster on mobile devices like phones, and tablets.

One way to do that is by minifying your .css and javascript source code.

 Benefits of Minifying Content

What this does is it will move any extra characters and unneeded whitespace from your code so your mobile devices can read it with less hassle

Since my site is on WordPress, I used a plug-in called Better WordPress Minify to achieve this.

To check that it worked, visit your website on a Chrome browser, right click and choose page source code.

Then I search for a .css file by pressing Command-F on a Mac or Control-F on a PC

As you can see, The code is compressed for faster load time

Now Google can rank your site higher since Google likes to rank quality fast dependable sites higher in their search results.
